Where to eat?
While lunch will be provided at the conference, for dinning options we recommend for instance Newtown, which features a large number of restaurants along King Street, 5-10 minutes stroll from the University of Sydney in the south-west direction. Another option is Glebe, 10 minutes walk in north direction from the School of Physics – you will find plenty of choice along Glebe Point Rd.
For those wishing to travel a bit we recommend The Rock with its beautiful scenery, or Oxford Street.
How to get to the University of Sydney?
The closest train station is either Redfern or Central. For more information on how to get to Redfern or Central, visit the website of Transport for NSW.
If you arrive by plane, take the Airport Train to Central or Redfern (< $20) or take a taxi (~ $25-$30). If you are travelling by car, please note that it may be hard to find a parking space at the campus and the prices are quite expensive ($24/day flat rate – for more details on parking on campus please see the University of Sydney Parking Information). Therefore we recommend to leave your car at the your hotel and then either walk to the University of Sydney or take a bus or a taxi.
